about us.

The Vanza Society of Canada is a family oriented community that helps organize various cultural events that help build relationships within the community and beyond.

The society was first established when the members moved to Canada, and is governed by a constitution.

Vanza Society of Canada’s main committee is made up of the President, the Vice-President, the Treasurer, the Secretary, and a number of Members, all of whom have volunteered their time towards the betterment of the community.

It is with profound sadness and heavy heart that we announce the passing of our dearest Son, Husband, and Brother

Rajiv Wanzah

On Friday, September 25th, 2026, in Mississauga, Ontario Canada

We are heartbroken and will miss him more than words can say. Born on December 2^nd, 1986, he lived a life defined by love, kindness, and devotion to the people who meant the most to him.

He was a deeply loved son to Rajesh (Raju) and Nalini (Nicky) Wanzah, son-in-law to Jagdish and Jyoti Rathod, a devoted husband to Anjali Wanzah, and a cherished brother to Neel Wanzah. His family was the centre of his world, and he showed his love through his steady presence, generous spirit, and the many thoughtful ways he cared for those around him.

Rajiv will be remembered for his love of food, hockey, and video games. He treasured every opportunity to spend time with family and friends.

We kindly request no home visits at this difficult time which will allow us the privacy and space to come to terms with his loss. Funeral details will be shared.

It’s that time of the year again! Join us for Vanza Navratri 2026 – an evening of Garba and Dandiya Raas with the whole community. This year we’ll have a live music band.
